Turkish occupation of Cyprus is occupied by Turks since 1974

The sides of the mountains on top of Nicosie are in the occupied zone.
As a sign of provocation, the Turks drew their flag there
on more than 500 m (1600 feet).

Since 1974, nearly 40% of the territory is occupied, and as a consequence: deportation of 200,000 civilians and thousands that disappeared in the Turkish prisons.
Since Cyprus has no great importance on the international scene,
nobody intervened!
