Apart from these mechanical adventures, my goal was to admire the splendor of the landscapes in the Sultanate of Oman.
Contemplatively, I watched the light of the setting sun on these mountains where life does not seem to exist. Night came and I continued my trip in this imposing landscape under a superb starry sky, guided by a compass and a rather inaccurate map. Trying to find a shortcut to return towards the United Arab Emirates, I had the nerve to go ask for directions from Omani frontier guards! The latter, obviously surprised to see me so lost, pointed me in the right direction without even thinking of asking me for a visa, which I could not have provided... phew! |
