oil, this famous black gold, goal of the fight for power, and unfortunately, generator of many recent conflicts.

Like other countries in the Gulf area, the United Arab Emirates owe so much to these fossil residues which patiently waited more than 200 million years under the ground.

It goes without saying that the government of the United Arab Emirates guards this treasure jealously: it's impossible to approach within less than 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) of any oil well!

Moreover, this photo was taken surreptitiously with a telephoto lens in a zone where it is forbidden to even stop the car, no less take pictures!
